I have tried several times to read the Twilight series books. I cannot get through them. I love the movies, but the books are just boring for me. I read a good book by Beth Moore called So Long Insecurity. This is a good book if you are really focused on what other people think of you. I have also really started to enjoy Nicholas Sparks’ books. His book, The Choice, is an excellent book on love and the relationship between humans and dogs. Another Nicholas Sparks book that I loved was The Last Song. This book also has a romantic theme with a twist of father daughter love as well. The Last Song has been made into a movie and is coming out in March.
One of the movies I enjoyed in theaters was “Fame”. “Fame” is not like all the other dance movies out there and if you watch this movie you will see what I mean. Meet the Morgans was also an enjoyable movie. I am not a big fan of Hugh Grant, but he did make me laugh a few times. Recently I rented a movie called “Forever Strong”. This is a movie about a rugby team. When I rented it I thought it would just be an ok movie. This movie turned out to be excellent.

I thought I had read all of the Nicholas Sparks books, but must have missed "The Last Song." Thanks for the heads up. If you want to try a teen vampire series, you may want to try the House of Night series by PC Cast and her daughter Kristin. There is a website for it so you can check it out to see if the books may interest you. PC Cast also has some books based on mythology set in modern times- the Goddess series.
